The long and winding corridor
is made of metal and stone
It reeks of corroded copper circuits
and burning ozone

The old proximity sensors
are long since gone
But somehow the deathbeams
still rumble on

Timeworn dynamos
and ancient power cells
leaking putrid acid
from their gray and damaged shells

The trap shouldn't be working
but somehow it still does
The radiance burns everything
with a booming, crackling buzz

The ground is scorched by the
endless pulses of heat
Off and on and off again,
like a slow and rhythmic beat

Bright red bursts of compressed plasma
slicing through the thick miasma
as the deep, dark, roaring sound
echoes through the age-old compound

Each new blast make the complex shake
with violent, thundering wrath
The nearby domelings feel every quake
and their seismic aftermath
